The Place Beyond the Pines 2013 - Deluca Summary: A pro motorcycle rider starts robbing banks to support his newborn son, then he crosses paths with a determined young cop. Film Notes: Ray Liotta's role is that of a fierce, crooked officer on the force. Also in this film with Ray Liotta is Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper. Originally known as A Place Beyond the Pines. Better Living Through Chemistry 2013 - Rich Husband Summary: A straight-laced pharmacist has an uneventful life that suddenly goes out of control when he begins an affair with a trophy wife. She takes him on a joyride that involves drugs, sex and maybe even murder. Film Notes: This is a comedy. Initial reports stated that Ray Liotta is the husband to Olivia Wilde's character 'Elizabeth' (the trophy wife). However later reports were stating that Ray will in fact play the pharmacist. However, more reports filtered through which all stated Ray had the role of the husband, but there was an added detail, he plays the 'rich husband'. The Rut 2013 - Bob Nutley Summary: A young girl, in order to win her father's approval surrounds herself with adventure and danger as she travels through the wilderness alone to hunt deer. She is joined, or more to the point, will have to face a nemesis hunter, a man who is obsessed with bow hunting, and one who considers the girl's father to be his serious rival, and who is consider by the father to be his serious rival too. Film Notes: A gritty indie drama. Ray Liotta plays the villian in this film, his role is that of a hunting-obsessed townie who is a rival to the young girl's father. Also in this film is Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chloe Moretz. The Devil's in the Details 2012 - Dr Bruce Michaels Summary: Just minutes from now in Nogales, Arizona, Thomas Conrad's life will be changed forever, due to him getting caught up in a Mexican cartels poetic game of drug mule chess. Film Notes: A Thriller which sees Ray Liotta in a starring role. Ray plays the role of a psychiatrist who finds himself in the middle of a deadly Mexican drug war. Also in this film is Joel Mathews. Pawn 2012 - Lt. Boone Summary: A petty robbery spirals into a tense hostage situation after three gunmen hold up a diner that's actually a front for the mob. For two of them the motivation is simple, cash. The leader however is driven by a much bigger prize, a ledger that reveals corrupt activities between the mob and the police force that could bring down the whole department. Film Notes: Genre: Crime/Thriller. Also in this film with Ray Liotta is Michael Chiklis. Sleight of Hand 2012 - Richy Summary: A hood called Everett, inadvertently steals a rare gold coin, which just happens to belong to a notorious French gangster. Before Everett is caught he stashes the coin in a vending machine, the machine turns out to belong to Richy, whose business just about allows him to get by. The gangster comes looking for the coin, and Richy finds that it no longer is in his vending machine, so he's given just six days to find the coin or pay millions. Richy has also been told that if he fails, his son will be killed. Film Notes: Billed under the 'Action/Comedy' genre. The Driver 2012 - Lieutenant Roscoe Summary: Vinny D'Angelo is a family man. But Vinny has another family to answer to....the mob. He's their driver and delivers hookers to shady, unsavory people, and while he has ambitions to advance himself, he must prove he's worthy first. Someone close to him is threatened, and he finds it so impossible to get a balance between the two families. Film Notes: With Ray Liotta in this film is Tony Devon, Michael Emery, Abe Vigoda and Stelio Savante. The Iceman 2012 - Roy Demeo Summary: Based on the true story of Richard 'The Iceman' Kuklinski. Film Notes: This film is a biopic about mob hitman Richard 'The Iceman' Kuklinski. Ray Liotta's role is Richard Kuklinski's employer, mobster Roy Demeo. Also with Ray Liotta in this film is Michael Shannon and Winona Ryder. Into the Americas 2012 - Jonathan Thompson Summary: Young English seaman John Jewitt is only one of two European survivors left after his crewmates clash with Mowachaht Indians on West Coast of North America. John becomes torn between his love for an Indian maiden and his wish for freedom, so for two years he remains a captive of the Mowachahts. Film Notes: Based on a true story. An Action/Adventure film. Alongside Ray Liotta in this film is Kevin Zegers, John Rhys-Davies. Writer's Block 2012 - Ray Liotta Summary: A 1960's throwback film which shows the frantic and sometimes frustrated young writer, who sits at her desk willing the typewriter to produce the next blockbuster. Film Notes: Ray Liotta's role would seem to be that of Ray Liotta, as this is only a short film there is no indication of anything otherwise. A retro fashion film, which is just over 4 minutes in length. Also features quick cuts, and fashion from DVF and Current/Elliott who joined forces for Spring 2012 collection, and the short film shows the collection. Bad Karma 2012 - Jack Molloy Summary: Jack Molloy attempts to clean up his life until Yale, just out of prison and wanting revenge, frames Jack for a brutal robbery/murder. Film Notes: Ray Liotta plays the ex-con man. Filmed in Queensland, Australia. A thriller. Ray Liotta is also the executive producer on this film. Stealing Sam 2012 - Petersen Summary: Two youths are out to make a quick buck, and accept a job from a nightclub owner that has them kidnap the girlfriend of a famous footballer. It's a case of mistaken identity as the girl they kidnap convinces them she is in fact the daughter of a New York Mafia family and they should release her before her hit man brother tracks them down. During her escape she finds that her boyfriend has instigated the kidnap, therefore she turns the tables and runs off with her father's ransom money, however what she doesn't know is that her father has put a 'fix it' man on their trail, and won't stop until the cash is retrieved. The 'fix it' man is psychopathic hit man sent out to retrieve ransom money. Film Notes: Ray Liotta's character is that of a psychopathic hit man. A noir thriller meets black comedy. The Details 2012 – Peter Summary: When a family of raccoons discover worms living underneath the sod in Jeff and Nealy's backyard, this pest problem begins a wild chain reactions of domestic tension, infidelity and murder. Film Notes: An Indie black comedy. Appearing with Ray Liotta in this film is Tobey Maguire, Elizabeth Banks and Anna Friel. Yellow 2012 - Afai Summary: Mary Holmes has a great life. But things are not always what they seem. Mary has problems. She sees a psychiatrist for the disconnected daydreams she keeps having. She loses her job, and decides to go home. The dreams that seem so random start to take real shape as we start to understand where she came from. From her father's slow painful death to her sisters descent into insanity, the secret that destroyed her family reveals itself on her journey back home. Film Notes: This film is classed as a drama. Killing Them Softly 2012 - Mark "Markie" Trattman Summary: The film follows an enforcer who must investigate a heist that takes place during a mob protected high-stakes poker game. The film follows the enforcer trying to track down the thieves who ripped off this poker game, which has been set up, and run by a hustler called Mark "Markie" Trattman. Film Notes: Billed as a crime-thriller/mob drama. Ray Liotta's character is the hustler who runs a high-stakes poker game in a motel room, but finds things go downhill from there. Also in this film is Brad Pitt. The Weinstein Company distribute this film. Originally known as "Cogan's Trade", then the title was changed to "Killing Them Softly", then it was returned back to its original title again. In March 2012, the name changed once again to "Killing Them Softly". Wanderlust 2012 - Himself Summary: A couple living in New York find the husband loses his job. The couple leave for Georgia to live with family, but along the way they stop at a bed and breakfast, which actually turns out to be a nudist commune. Film Notes: A comedy film. Also in this film with Ray Liotta is Jennifer Aniston. Breathless 2012 - Sheriff Cooley Summary: A dark and violent story following Lorna (Gershon) a strong-willed Texas woman who’s had enough of her husband Dale’s (Kilmer) criminal acts. Fed up, she looks to her old friend, Tiny (Giddish), to help her figure out what to do with Dale after his latest double-cross. The girls talk through what to do with the hapless Dale while they medicate themselves with only the best of prescriptions, Tennessee whiskey - which leads them to bigger problems. When Sheriff Cooley (Liotta) inconveniently enters the conundrum, the story evolves into a tale of revenge and survival. Film Notes: This film was originally stated to be a thriller, shortly after the announcement of the film, the genre changed to a dark comedy. Ray Liotta's role is that of the local Sheriff. Also alongside Ray in this film is Val Kilmer (husband) and Gina Gershon (wife). Originally known as Breathless, was changed to "Little Pieces", then returned to its original title. All Things Fall Apart 2012 – Dr Brintall Summary: The film focus is on a promising football running back, who faces a personal tragedy aswell as his own mortality while in his senior year in college. Film Notes: An Indie drama, this film has been filmed in Michigan, USA and along with Ray Liotta in the film is Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Mario Van Peebles and Mike P. Ray will play the role of Dr Brintall, who will aid Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's character through his cancer treatment process. Originally called "Things Fall Apart". Savage Innocent 2011 - Mr Jeffries Summary: A mysterious young Latino boy is found wandering the streets of Brentwood totally naked and not speaking a word. He's taken in by a wealthy family, but he then becomes involved in underground street fighting. Film Notes: Originally known as "Wild Child". In this film with Ray Liotta is Rory Culkin and Dakota Johnson. Snowmen 2011 – Reggie Kirkfield Summary: Set in a wintry mountain town, the story focus is on Billy (Bobby Coleman), a 10-year-old whose ever-present wool beanie signals something besides cold temperatures. Indeed, it turns out that Billy, still bald from the effects of chemotherapy, is convinced that he's going to die after a recent bout with cancer. Determined to make some sort of impact on the world before he goes, he decides to attempt to break the world record for the most snowmen created in a single day. Film Notes: World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2010. Ray, once more, shows great comedic talent in this film. Was top pick at the festival and won runner-up for the Audience Award. Ray's daughter Karsen is also featured in this film. Based on the actual writer's childhood. The River Murders 2011 – Detective Jack Verdon Summary: Detective Jack Verdon, played by Ray Liotta, investigates a string of sexually motivated serial murders. It soon becomes clear that all the victims have some sort of connection with the detective himself. The killings continue.... Film Notes: Ray Liotta's name was connected with film since talks began about making it in 2008. It is an intense psychological thriller. Also with Ray Liotta in this film is Christian Slater and Ving Rhames. Originally known as The River Sorrow. Street Kings 2:Motor City 2011 – Marty Kingston Summary: Marty Kingston, a veteran Detroit cop is paired up with a rookie cop to investigate the murder of a cop during a drug deal that went badly wrong. The rookie cop starts to suspect that Marty Kingston may just be a dirty cop. Film Notes: Ray Liotta has the lead role in the film. He plays Marty, a veteran Detroit cop. The film was originally called "Street Kings of Motor City" but then became known as "Street Kings:Motor City". A direct to DVD release, and the sequel to the film "Street Kings" from 2008. Also in this film with Ray Liotta is Clifton Powell and Shawn Hatosy. The Entitled 2011 – Richard Nader Summary: Paul (Kevin Zegers) is a decent, intelligent young man, who is part of a generation of young people who have worked hard at college and graduated with high hopes - only to find that the certainties of the past are gone. Without a job he wants or future he dreamed of, he decides to plan the perfect crime to redress the balance. The Son of No One 2011 – Captain Mathers Summary: A young cop is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighbourhood where he grew up. Film Notes: Shooting of this film was in New York April 2010. Starring with Ray Liotta in this film is Al Pacino, Channing Tatum and Katie Holmes. Originally known as Son of No One. Ticket Out 2010 – Jim Summary: A mother takes her children and flees an abusive ex-husband with the help of Ray Liotta's character. Jim (Ray Liotta) is a man who helps abused women smuggle their children out of the country. Film Notes: This film was inspired by actual facts. World premiere of this film took place at the American Film Market in Santa Monica, California in November 2010. Also appearing with Ray Liotta in this film is Alexandra Breckenridge, Colin Ford, Billy Burke and Scott Michael Campbell. Charlie St. Cloud 2010 – Florio Ferrente Summary: Film is a romantic drama starring Zac Efron, who is a young man who survives an accident that lets him see the world in a unique way. He begins a romantic journey in which he embraces the dark realities of the past, while discovering the transformative power of love. Film Notes: In cinemas worldwide throughout 2010. Ray Liotta plays a paramedic who saves the life of Charlie, but is unable to save the life of Charlie's younger brother Sam. Chasing 3000 2010 – Adult Mickey Summary: Two brothers drive across country to see their hero, Roberto Clemente, get his 3000th hit. Film Notes: This film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2007, but it would seem that it would never be released in cinemas or on DVD. Then there was talk that it was going to be in cinemas in USA September 2009, but nothing happened. Finally in July 2010 an announcement that it would be part of the Maya Indie Film Series in that same year. Date Night 2010 – Joe Miletto Summary: When a loving married couple, who have lost the spark in their relationship, they seem determined to re-light it. They go on a “Date Night” to an exclusive restaurant in Manhattan, they don't have a reservation so when a couple don't show up they pretend to be them. When two heavies show up demanding they return the flash drive that they stole from gangster Joe Miletto, their innocent pleas of “it isn't them” are not heard. Film Notes: A very funny film that see's Ray Liotta in a cameo role of the gangster Joe Miletto. He is uncredited in this film, he has about three scenes altogether and really makes them count. Starring in this film is Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Crazy on the Outside 2010 – Gray Summary: A recently paroled ex-con who has trouble adjusting to the wacky normal life outside of prison. He has spent the last three years behind bars after getting caught committing a crime and taking the rap for his much more dangerous pal. Film Notes: Released in US cinemas in 2009.
