25th June 2011 Well it has been announced TODAY that Ray Liotta has signed up for a new film called "A Place Beyond the Pines", for further information about this film please go to the Filmography Section on Ray Liotta Connection. It has further been announced that production on this film will begin in Schenectady, New York on 25th July 2011. It means that Ray Liotta is going to be such a busy man over these next few months as he is due to go over to Australia to film a different film next month too. Great to see Ray in such demand as always!!!! Please visit Ray Liotta Connection often for I check daily for the latest on Mr Ray Liotta. 24th June 2011 There's a bit of confusion going on at the moment, the general news is that Ray Liotta will be going over to Australia next month to start filming on "Stealing Sam", as first mentioned on Ray Liotta Connection last month. However I've been hearing that it's "Bad Karma" that's being filmed in Australia. I've done some extensive research on this and have found an official website for another actor that has joined the cast of "Bad Karma", and their website is stating that filming of it starts in the Autumn still. I've checked the official website of the production company for "Bad Karma" and there is no mention of filming starting next month in Australia. I know that previously "Bad Karma" was going to be filming in Canada, but then that was changed to Los Angeles so it could have changed again. The official website for the production company of "Stealing Sam" is still stating that Ray Liotta is connected to the film, and it will be filming in Australia. One thing for certain is that Ray Liotta has been quoted as saying he's "really looking forward to returning to Australia to work", and filming begins in a few weeks time. I'll keep checking on which film it is, and when I find anything further out I, of course, will let you know on Ray Liotta Connection. Now for something totally different.... Ray Liotta hosted Saturday Night Live on 18th January 2003, and I'm so thrilled to be able to include a clip of just one of the many things that Ray was involved in during that show, here on Ray Liotta Connection for other Ray fans to watch too - I really do hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and look out for Ray singing in it too!!!! 22nd June 2011 Further to my announcement about Ray Liotta filming in Oklahoma City on the set of "Yellow" last week - there is a video clip of behind the scenes of the filming of this, and Ray Liotta is shown in it!!!! Thanks ever so to D.L.S for letting me know about the video clip, etc. It would seem that last Wednesday Ray Liotta was filming at Northpark Mall to shoot a romantic restaurant scene for the film (as per NewsOK) - can't wait to see this film!!!! 17th June 2011 After yesterday's interesting information being sent to me about Ray Liotta filming in Oklahoma City, I've been researching to find any details about this film, and I'm pleased to say I have. Ray Liotta is not as yet being mentioned in the cast list of this, but due to the information which was kindly sent to me I've now added, what would seem to be Ray Liotta's latest film project, to the Filmography Section of Ray Liotta Connection. There is some confusion as a few websites for the actress who is playing one of the lead roles state it filmed late last year, so I've searched my own sources, and they have it listed as 'filming'....Of course as soon as I find any further information about this latest Ray Liotta film project, you will find it on Ray Liotta Connection. The film Ray is involved in is called "Yellow", however at this moment there is no other information about this film to let you know about, there is nothing telling me about the role Ray is playing, but he has been spotted there. Due to no further information being available I have not included it in the Filmography Section of Ray Liotta Connection, but as soon as I can find the storyline for the film, and of course other details too I will let you know on Ray Liotta Connection. Opening the Film Festival will be Ray Liotta's film "Things Fall Apart", and it is billed as the main attraction. The San Francisco Black Film Festival is open to everyone!!!! "Things Fall Apart" screening is scheduled to start at 9pm and end at about 10:35pm, and the tickets are $10. It would also seem that a new official trailer has been released for "Things Fall Apart", and I'm pleased to be able to include it on Ray Liotta Connection, Ray seems to be featured more in the new trailer too which is always a huge bonus!!!! Movies.ie have stated that Ray Liotta deserves more than supporting or cameo roles in "Date Night" and "Charlie St. Cloud" - I enjoy watching Ray in any of his films, it is always fantastic to see him in the lead role!!!! Still doing my checks for when filming will begin on "Bad Karma", I have today found out that filming is scheduled to start in the Autumn of this year now, so it would seem then that June filming is not happening, will keep checking as this may change again and if I find any further information about this I will of course let you know on Ray Liotta Connection. 15th June 2011 I'm still trying to find confirmation of a start date for filming of "Bad Karma", but I will keep checking and let you know on Ray Liotta Connection when I find any further information out. No new film projects have been announced for Ray Liotta yet, but there are a few that he's signed to do that have yet to start filming. The reviewer states of Ray in the film as "Liotta does his best to make Kingston a three-dimensional figure." To celebrate Father's Day on Sunday 19th June 2011, the Enzian Theater in Maitland will be showing Ray Liotta's film "Field of Dreams", it will start at 12pm, and the prices are $8 general admission, $7.50 Enzian Film Society Members. "Field of Dreams" will also be shown in Brooks, Maine to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday 19th June 2011 at the Marsh River Theater in Brooks Village. Ticket prices here will be $5 for adults, children 12 and under will be admitted for $2 and all fathers accompanied by their children or child will get to watch this film FREE!!!! The Bloomfield Public Library in No rth Jersey is holding Monday afternoon movies throughout this month, and at 12:15pm on 27th June 2011 "GoodFellas" will be shown, and admission is FREE. Ropes of Silicon have stated they recommend it, it's an enjoyable film, and if someone was to ask if they liked the film, they would say "what's not to like." "Wanderlust", another new Ray Liotta film is still looking like it will be released in the USA on 7th October 2011, I of course will keep checking this, and if it changes I will let you know on Ray Liotta Connection. Sort of Ray Liotta connected now...."Locked Up Abroad" starts on television in the USA tonight, no Ray isn't in this but it is focusing on Henry Hill, which of course as we all know Ray Liotta portrayed Henry in the iconic film "GoodFellas." You can now watch Ray Liotta in another one of his great films "Cop Land" on Netflix, and that is available to watch now. 29th May 2011 I have been searching for more reviews about Ray Liotta's film "The River Sorrow", which had its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival earlier this month, all I've found to date is one review, which didn't really mention the actors, just talked about the film itself, however I will keep checking. Another review for Ray Liotta's film "Street Kings 2:Motor City" has been published, and the reviewer says of Ray "Great professional, really works his butt off to make Detective Kingston seem as dangerous as he is likeable." Still staying with "Street Kings 2:Motor City", I've been able to locate yet another film still, and you can see that below. Heineken are bringing out some new commercials, and one that is due to appear on television in September is called "The Date", and the scene takes place in a kitchen, and recalls the scene with Ray Liotta and Lorraine Bracco walking through the kitchen on their way to the Copacabana nightclub in the iconic film "GoodFellas." The New Beverly Cinema, Los Angeles will be showing "Something Wild" (Ray Liotta's first starring film role) on 1st, 2nd and 3rd June 2011 - on each night the film will be shown at 9:30pm. Some of those participating in the article are Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and of course Ray Liotta. What Ray Liotta has to say about "GoodFellas" within the article is: "Marty wanted me to send him a tape and he said he’d see me. That night I went home and wrote a letter telling him it was nice meeting him, here’s the cassette, view it at your leisure. About six weeks went by. We were both in Venice for the festival and I saw him in a hotel lobby with seven bodyguards. One of the bodyguards grabbed my arm, but Marty saw me and said: “Ray, how are you? I got the tape. I haven’t been able to view it yet.” Now there’s a man with what seems like the whole world coming down on him and he remembers." He further went onto say: "I formed an affection for Henry. I didn't agree with anything he did, I don't like violence. But I liked the way he kept his cards close to his vest." His final thoughts about the film are: "Henry called me up. It is further reported that the film had a market screening last night. © Orion/Photofest 13th May 2011 As previously mentioned on Ray Liotta Connection, "The River Sorrow" will have its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival next week. It is being reported that while a release date in USA cinemas has been mentioned for the Summer, this could change depending on how the film is received at Cannes. It is further being stated that as Sony now own the rights to this Ray Liotta film, the ultimate decision lies with them as to whether it is shown in cinemas or goes straight to DVD, I will keep checking, and when I know I will let you know on Ray Liotta Connection. Reports are coming through that Ray Liotta is going to be one of the guest stars on the animated Disney show "Take Two With Phineas and Ferb", which will be the third season and is already broadcasting. 9th May 2011:TAKE TWO Further to the news added an hour or so ago, as promised I continued my research and I've found some more information about Cannes International Film Festival. "The River Sorrow" is scheduled to have its red carpet world premiere on 16th May 2011, it would seem that Christian Slater and Ving Rhames will be attending, but it would seem that Ray Liotta is not going to be there (as reported by The Spokesman-Review), with anything like this of course it could change, Ray may well end up attending, but at this moment in time it has been stated that he won't be, but I'll keep checking and let you know if I find that has changed. Staying with the Cannes International Film Festival, it would seem that Hannibal Pictures Official studio party celebrates some of their new films, one of which is a film that Ray Liotta is in, which is "Things Fall Apart", and this will take place on the 14th May 2011, and invited cast members include 50 Cent with others to be announced, it doesn't however state that the film will actually be shown during this festival. 5th May 2011 Just announced today: Filming of "Cogan's Trade" has now just been completed in New Orleans. Ray Liotta is due to start filming "Bad Karma" this month, as yet no actual start date has been released for when filming will start....I will keep checking and let you know on here when I know. They further stated "Ray Liotta alone has proven himself over the years to be a powerful leading man able to tap into a surprising well of anger", sure going to agree with that statement!!!!
